Who Needs This Product

Mounting an SRL at the roof deck usually means the housing drags, snags, and wears against the surface while the worker moves. The 7396 fixes that: a plated alloy steel cradle holds the SRL up off the deck and swivels a full 360 degrees, so the lifeline tracks with the worker instead of scrubbing sideways. A secondary D-ring doubles as a standalone anchor point when an SRL is not in the cradle.

Features

Rotating SRL cradle

The adjustable cradle swivels 360 degrees on sealed bearings, so the lifeline follows the worker without tangling.

10 in x 10 in base plate

Galvanized, ceramic coated alloy steel plate provides a solid connection point and secure installation.

Secondary D-ring

An integrated 3,600 lb rated D-ring functions as a standalone anchor for personal fall arrest when an SRL is not in place.

Multi-substrate install

Approved for 3/4 in CDX plywood, wood truss with sheathing, steel decking, and Z-purlins per the manual.

Sixteen screws included

1/4 in-14 thread, 2-1/2 in length self-tapping screws ship in the box; never reuse screws on reinstallation.

SRL protection

Sealed bearings and the elevated cradle resist corrosion, reduce leverage forces, and extend SRL lifespan.

The substrate is half the anchor. Wood other than 3/4 in CDX must be approved by a qualified person or professional engineer, all sixteen screws must be installed, and screws must never be reused. Follow the MANC41 manual and the roofing manufacturer’s waterproofing instructions.

Compliance Standards

OSHA 1926.502

Construction fall protection criteria; the 7396 is declared conformant on FallTech DoC A0527076.

ANSI Z359.18-2017

Anchorage connector standard listed as compliant on the FallTech 7396 sell sheet.

FallTech Class 2 SRLs

How to Install

Follow the FallTech MANC41 instruction manual. The sequence below is an overview only.

  1. Select the location. A competent or qualified person picks the spot, considering structure, obstructions, and swing fall.
  2. Verify the substrate. 3/4 in CDX, approved truss sheathing, steel deck, or Z-purlin; anything else needs qualified person approval.
  3. Drive all sixteen screws. Use only the included 1/4 in-14 x 2-1/2 in self-tapping screws, flush and snug without stripping.
  4. Seat the SRL in the cradle. Mount the SRL per the manual and verify the swivel turns freely.
  5. Waterproof the install. Follow the roofing manufacturer’s instructions for sealing the penetrations.

Inspection and Retirement

Inspect before each use, with a documented competent person inspection at least annually.

  • Base plate: flat, fully fastened, and free of cracks or corrosion.
  • Screws: all sixteen present and tight; never reused hardware.
  • Cradle and swivel: rotates freely with no binding or play.
  • D-ring: no deformation, nicks, or corrosion.
  • Substrate: no wood rot, deck deformation, or loosened purlin.

Remove the anchor from service after any fall arrest event or failed inspection, and replace screws whenever the anchor is reinstalled.
