The FallTech 7489 Hinged Trailing Fall Arrester is engineered for secure mobility on 5/8-inch synthetic rope lifelines, offering both smooth trailing performance and enhanced safety. Its hinged design allows installation at any point on the lifeline, while an integrated anti-panic function applies braking force if the user inadvertently grips the lever in the open position. The cam-action braking system engages rapidly during a fall, and a tension roller with an internal spring maintains proper lifeline alignment. Additional safety features include an anti-inversion hinge cam and a double-locking closure.
