The Module “Mod” Mover

A tool designed to assist with the carrying of solar panels around the jobsite.

This handy little tool is a more simplistic version of our Solar Panel Caddy. Although the Solar Panel Caddy is loved around the world, this option offers a bit more versatility than its predecessor.

The Mod Mover features a thin, lightweight design and no mechanical parts, which means it is quick and easy to use and only requires the solar panel to have a frame to operate. Lifting is a breeze with the heavy-duty nylon strap and comfort grip rubber handle. This design additionally allows the user an effortless transition from a panel at your side to a panel on your back.

This tool has been found to be a great asset for the movement of panels into place in ground mount applications. It can replace the job of an installer pushing and holding a panel into place, with a simple hook and pull system.

When not in use, the Mod Mover can be latched to your safety harness, belt, work bag, etc with a carabiner attached to the provided D-ring so it’s always ready and waiting for its next lift.

HOW IT WORKS

Put quite simply: Gravity.

Face the hook side of the tool toward the frame side of a solar panel. Place under the frame and lift up to ensure it is engaged. Grab the rubber grip handle, lift, and walk away.

Just hook it and lift it. That’s it.

  • Lightweight with no mechanical parts
  • Simple hook design: Allows gravity to do all the work
  • Rubber grip handle
  • Heavy-duty nylon strap
