SpecPoxy Binder is a two-component, multi-purpose adhesive usable as a broadcast overlay system or blended with silica sand to form an epoxy mortar. It also works as a multilayer, waterproof, skid-resistant polymer overlay for bridges and parking decks.

Application Instructions
Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, dirt, laitance, and curing compounds
Create a roughened, open profile through shotblasting or mechanical abrasion, then vacuum thoroughly
Do not thin with solvents; ensure air, material, and surface temperatures are at least 40°F (precondition to 75°F for easier mixing)
Mix 1 part Part A to 1 part Part B with a low-speed drill and Jiffy mixer for 3 minutes
For epoxy mortar, gradually add 3.5-5 parts clean, dry silica sand to 1 part mixed binder, ensuring full wetting
Apply a neat primer coat, then trowel or screed the mortar while the primer is still tacky
For broadcast overlays, apply neat with a 3/16″ notched squeegee at 75-100 sq ft per gallon, then broadcast aggregate before the coating levels out
